We make our sweet and savory popcorn the artisan way - by hand in small batches. It takes longer, but we think you can taste the difference. In our kitchen in San Francisco , we pop our kernels in heavy copper kettles, and toss it while still warm with buttery organic caramel or one of our spice blends. We are ruthless about batches that don't meet our standards - "dud" batches never end up in the hands or mouths of our customers. And, our USDA certified organic popcorn is made when we get orders for it - and not a minute sooner.

Jean Arnold’s fondest childhood memories are of cozy evenings spent with her family, enjoying fresh, fluffy popcorn her mother made by hand in a stovetop popper. As she turned the crank, the kernels would pop, filling the room with a rich, corny aroma. After attending Le Cordon Bleu in London and doing a little globetrotting, Jean wanted to share that warming experience, but kick it up with global flavors she encountered in her travels. Today, she still hand-makes all 479º Popcorn in small batches for maximum freshness.
